Predictive Dialer Software
Predictive dialer software is a computerized system that automatically dials the correct telephone number to match the pattern of available call center personnel.
The Predictive dialer software will search a database of customers to be called, statistically predicts the availability of an agent, dial the associated telephone number, detect when the call is answered, and connect the call to an available agent. If the Predictive dialer senses an answering machine or voice processor at the target telephone number, it can simply hang up and dial the next number from the database. The dialer is predictive because it anticipates when the next agent will become available, and when the next "hello" will be detected
Without predictive dialing software, a call center personal will have to wait between phone calls until another person answers the phone. This can be quite expensive in terms of lost productivity. With a predictive dialer, a new phone call should be available as soon as the call center agent hangs up with the last phone call.
